Feeler: 2006 bmw m5 details inside

I'm wanting to get a feeler out there for my car. If I can come across a buyer with a reasonable number for me, I'll let her go. I have a little boy coming in the next couple weeks and want to try and be a little more financially responsible. This is just a feeler for now and the numbers are OBO. Please keep it on topic and I would appreciate any negative comments to be left out of this thread. I do however welcome any constructive criticism

I looked up some comparables out on the market right now. Yes I know these cars don't sell at their asking price. I also went back to search FS history here on this forum...just got lazy with this by the time I got here to add to the list.

Pictures can be found here:

New (better) pictures of the car.

Asking 54K with all mods OBO
Asking 47Kw/o wheels or muffler/xpipe OBO

Specs: 2006 E60 M5

-Black on Black
-2nd owner. Purchased from dealership
-Current odometer reading 35,567 as of 10/07/09
-Fully loaded except for rear fold down seats (not sure if this was an option for 2006)
-NO Accidents
-Clear title

-Service issues:
-Red Cog of ***** (VERY common for 2006 models) If it hasn't happened to an 06 it will eventually. Replaced and fixed by the dealer under warranty. NO issues since then.
-All scheduled service performed at BMW of Dallas.
-Any other service/maintanence related questions can be answered in detail via e-mail or telephone.

I have all stock parts/wheels and will be included in sale.

Aftermarket modifications:

-RPI air scoops
-RPI power pulleys
-BMF filter replacement
-Active Autowerke performance software
-Meisterschaft GT muffler (round tips) -carbon fiber baked tips

HRE 891R 21"x9.5" 21"x10.5" Matte Black finish on NEW Falken FK 452 tires. 99.8% tread remaining. Wheels are not even on the car currently.
-Finish was originally Brushed Silver (Repainted by HRE: 300.00 per wheel)

Dyno:

-Mustang dyno: done before software
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kAodPHvuUQ

-Dyno Dynamics: also before software 419whp (baseline on the same dyno 374.2 bone stock -this number is very normal for a dyno dynamics)

Normal, non-extended warranty is 4 years "or" 50 thousand miles.

I would try parting the aftermarket parts if is not too much trouble and you have the stock parts. You definitely will get more money at the end of the day.

I would bet the HRE's are worth a fair amount of change and would be desirable on the used market.

GL with the sale

PM's replied. Thanks guys!

I'm very willing to part out of the price is right. If not, and I get no offers on the car, I'll just keep driving it haha. I'm open to reasonable offers. Just let me know

Thanks!

Good luck with the sale. It looks like it very clean. I am in the market but unless someone can tell me why these cars I have listed below are priced below 40K I can't understand the prices being all over the board. We can't assume one car is better than the other. Just trying to get a gauge. Not to try and hi-jack this thread. Since you are selling a car very similiar to what I have been looking at I just wanted to know. So I don't insult anyone in an offer.

Here is an example of two.

I wonder about this one unless someone knows who this person is. 33,500 for 53K is still cheap.

I think the range of pricing varies upon the car dependent on factors such as milage, mods, options, etc.

1. The first link seems highly optioned out. It does not appear to have HUD. Also the milage is on the higher end (53k) Those two things along can reflect on the pricing of the car quite considerably

2. The second ad listed is not a fully optioned out M5. It may not even have the dynamic seats, HUD, or comfort access. It is difficult to determine due to the pictures given. Sometimes I wonder if they purposely leave out certain pictures so that the potential buyer who doesn't know much about the car can't determine which options are missing on the car.

3. This third ad also isn't fully optioned out. Color combo in the interior IMO is not as desirable. No Active Seats, and cheap aftermarket wheels. I think the stock wheels would give this car more value.

4. The last one from what I can tell is pretty optioned out for the exception of the seats. Every car is different. Now with dealers its a different story. They tend to mark up the car much more than a private seller.

Those from what I can tell are the reasons why the cars listed are priced in those respective price ranges. As for a comparison in regards to my listing or others like it on the forum I can only speak for my car. Remember my car is priced as negotiable. I post what I would like to get out of the car. Those that may be interested may offer less; a number they may find more appropriate. My car comes with some mods. In some people's eyes it give some value, in others, it may hurt the value. Depending on the buyer I can turn the car back to stock or sell with some/all of the mods presently on the car. Hope my reasoning gives you some insight as to what I'm thinking. Maybe others can give their .02 as well. Whether they agree with me, disagree, or whatnot.
