2000 E39/M5 LOW 429XX miles - $21K obo

Since I bought my E39 M5 dream car - the Blue Area 51 DA Twin, it is time to part with my Titanium Silver 2000 M5. I am the third owner of the car and it is in very good shape as you will see.

VIN is: WBSDE9341YBZ95967

Upgrades:
  • 2001+ Gray instrument cluster (pixel fix - all work fine)
  • Alutec front strut brace
  • Beast power rear sway brackets
  • 16:9 Nav screen
  • DVD MK4 Nav computer (v32 NAV OS)
  • UF IATS Temp Sensor
Recent Service:
  • Fuel filter change < 1K miles ago
  • Air filters change < 1K miles ago
  • VW MAFs < 5K ago
  • Michelin PS/2 rears < 5K ago
  • Michelin PS/2 fronts < 7.5K ago
  • Front right ball joint replaced < 1K ago
  • Full detail today!
I have owned this car since it had 17K miles on it and have driven it only about 5K miles a year. I have taken good care of it and have really enjoyed owning it. This board has helped me immensely and I hope that the next owner gets the same pleasure from owning the car as I do.

Pluses:
  • Enthusiast owned and maintained
  • Ultra low mileage
  • Runs like a top
  • Pulls high 130s on MAF test
  • Low to no VANOS noise
  • Nearly immaculate interior
Known issues:
  • Single pixel white line on the NAV screen (pictured - not really worth the expensive fix)
  • Scuff and small crack on front plastic bumper below driver fog light (can be painted - not worth it in my opinion)
  • Scuff on rear bumper plastic right rear quarter (pictured)
  • Some grease stain in the trunk compartment carpet (from when I moved my bike around)
  • Very light curb rash on right hand wheels
  • Cracked driver's fog lamp (I will replace before sale)
Hopefully the pictures will illustrate the shape of the car. Please feel free to ask questions. People who lowball me will be ignored - this is not a beater.

Asking $21K obo.

Instrument cluster 42,858 miles

NAV Screen showing single pixel line across it.

Seems like Picassa is not serving up the images consistently. I will move them to another service later today...

It seems like your passenger side exhaust is hanging lower or at least out of alignment. Is there a broken hanger or any type of rear end collision?

sor118 - A Corvette short stopped and got under my bumper. I replaced the plastic but did not have the exhaust rehung. I checked that the bracket is bent, but not broken. I will try to straighten it out and take a picture. I can bring it into any muffler place prior to sale and have it leveled. There was no other damage from this accident.

You have PM!

Also, you should purchase a Carfax, and post screen shots of it, as it will soothe the wary buyer. (Being me)
