i haven't looked at options, etc. on the new cars - what does the regular model have vs. a stripped down one?
for some reason i was thinking they came pretty well loaded and that there weren't that many options to be had(i.e. - not really anything to be deleted from the car).
good luck selling yours.
most of the cars on the dealer lots have sunroofs, i drive, 19" wheels, tech and premium pkgs etc. This one had none of that.
well, i washed the car, took some pictures, took it for a drive and i think i've changed my mind.
To those who inquired, and wanted pics, sorry, i'm thinking that i'm going to keep it.
I went and drove the m3 again, man, that is a fun car, but not sure it's more fun than what i have. It's new, which is nice, but maybe i can rekindle my interest for a little while longer.
Mike,
I agree that you should probably keep the car. The M3 might be fun but not 3x the fun as yours.

Mike,
I think the problem is you have too many "classic" M5's. The E34 and E39 are two special cars, not to mention the one that started the fast flying 4 door craze, E28.
Glad to see your keeping it at this point, at a 25k price I know there were guys out there with E39's that thought about snagging it.

+1. And if you really like the M3, wait a couple of years when the big depreciation is gone. The E39 will depreciate a heck of a lot slower than the M3. And the M3 will never be as special as your S2. Heck, in two years, you won't need to sell the M5 to get the M3!
