Mikes E60 X5M

I have a 2006 E60 and still love it
But I drive around to job sites all day and it has a lot of mileage
Thinking about a F10. M 5 but wondering if I might like X5M
Maybe easier to get in and out of
I always liked trucks to get in and out of before I had my M5
Wasn't considering X5M because they advertise as an automatic
But I stopped by dealer and they have the double clutch Trans just like the F10
Now Im Interested

Hey Phil,

The X5M actually has a SMG but they refined it so much that it acts and feels like a DCT. I would say go for it if you need the extra cargo space and roomy interior. I absolutely love my X5M, it's a beast just like my 2010 E60 M5. I've already put 12k miles on my and I've not even had it for a year yet. It's crazy how fast this SUV moves!

I don't think it's an SMG...

Isn't it a "regular" Automatic? Just as the previous version it can bypass the torque converter though.

X5M

To be Evolved

Gone is the M5....
° Evolve Alpha N Stage 3
° Evolve Long tube headers
° Evolve Carbon fibre intakes
° 100 cell race cats
° RPi ST pulley kit
° Supersprint exhaust and resonator

i work for a bmw dealer, with that said i am not biased towards BMW and love Audi & Porsche as well. After driving several high performance SUV's (SRT8 GC, Cayenne Turbo, ML63, etc), the X5M is still my favorite, both the original and new versions. Finding one with active Certification would be my best suggestion if you are looking to buy pre-owned.

2002 BMW M5 - Nardo Grey | ESS Supercharged | UUC Flywheel/Clutch | Bilstein PSS Coilovers | 19" DPE S20 - Nitto Invo | DINAN SSK | Adams Rotors | Corsa Cat-Back | RW Carbon Front Lip | Exotics Tuning Carbon Diffuser |

1998 BMW M3 Coupe - Alpine White | 18" Fifteen52 Tarmac's - Kumho PS90 | KW V1 Coilovers | LTW wing | Euro DEPO headlights| UUC SSK | Hotchkis F&R sway bars | Vorshlag camber plates |

I bought a 2016 brand new back in September 2015. I daily it and it's the best SUV ever! The ride is smooth, handles great and oh the power and noise from the stock exhaust is wonderful. a nice SUV to daily if you can't daily your M5. It satisfies the M itch.
