Timming chain questions

I have a 12/99 e39 m5 that has been sitting for the past month due to timming chain noise.
The month before I had replaced the tensioner on bank 1 due to the same nosie yet less constant. At this time I also dropped the lower oil pan to look for FOD and found nothing oil pump looked good as well. I then changed my oil and cranked over it lasted a month and the rattle came back so I stopped driving it.
