E39 Seat Modifications

Posted 12th September 2013 at 14:47 by nor_easter25
I purchased my 2002 E39 M5 in June and have been enjoying it since. But at 6'5" and 265 lbs I'm finding the seat bottom to be narrow for my butt. Has anyone performed mods to the seat bottom to widen the bottom or outside bolsters?
Is this a mod that a local upholstery shop could perform? Is my only option to reduce the size of my butt?
Suggestions appreciated.
