TVonNav tv in motion on/off

Updated 7th July 2009 at 18:43 by heyitsoleg
I've bought tv module with TVonNav (tv-in-motion) module, wiring that allows me to watch tv while driving and by default module set video in motion OFF. My problem is that I cant turn it ON, I followed every step on the installation manual but it just wont work
Please Help!

My car is 2001 (e39) ///M5 with MK4 Nav.

This is what it say in the manual:
1. Put the system into "Television" audio mode
2. Press and hold the left "search" button...

Upgrading from CD GPD to DVD GPS for a 2000 M5

Posted 6th July 2009 at 21:54 by brownman76
My 2000 M5 has a CD based GPS that is semi-functional but pretty slow.

Can I upgrade to a DVD based GPS and still have all the BMW info show on my screen (on board computer, etc)?

If so, what do I need to buy, what will it cost and where can I find it?

Also, any recommendations as to who might do it (dealers vs. speciatly sound store)? Don't suggest I do it- if it takes more than duck tape and a hammer I am hopeless.

Thanks for any advice...
