yep just read that as well! 702 million euros is quite a price!! Wonder what they are going to come up with... Do you think they are going to build new cars soon, or keep on with the DB9 and V8 for some time?... I read Ford would continue sending engines for about a year or so... what next?

I think the DBS and Rapide projects were on hold until the sale was agreed.

Now that it is a done deal, I expect to see these two models to come out pretty quickly. The DBS is going up against the 599GTB so it's going to have to be absolutely brilliant to compete. Interesting times.

It appears that Prodrive has recently found new funds.

F1 and buying a car manufacturer that hasn't made a dime since its start are costly experiences..

Or would Aston MArtin go into F1????

Oh yes..

They have two Kuwaiti financial banks and I believe an American investor so yes Prodrive have more money. And it looks very likely that there will not be a Prodrive team but a Aston Martin team in the F1. I hope Richards will make the Aston Martin better and hope the brand will flourish. Looking forward to the Rapide and the DBS. Just hope that they can work the engine thing out and also more power of course to better compete with Porsche and Ferrari.

Taipan

My thoughts exactly..

Although I think this implicates AM to withdraw from the LM GT series..Which is a shame, as I LOVE the DBR9's ( @ Spa last year)

Well, maybe they can work a deal to let somebody else do the LM racing, but financially it looks like the F1 would make it impossible to do other racing at the same time. Which in some ways is a shame as those cars look a little more like "normal" Astons than an open wheel formula-car will

nice pic too.
