Oh yes. Yes indeed. 'Waiting for my order slot to come up. 'Global economy has caused AM to cut way back on DBS production (IMO, they're protecting pricing on this model - other than a few initially produced cars, there's virtually no inventory at U.S. dealers). My slot is due this spring (a $20k non-refundable deposit is required), with summer delivery.

Great, one thing I remembered. Really seems to be a problem at the moment, that after Christmas I seem to be asking "stupid questions" from colleagues, friends etc. Of course it might be that there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers

hmm. Of course the time spent waiting can be excruciatingly slow.. but its only a few months and all good things are worth waiting for. and you do have some other nice wheels to use while waiting. Have you decided on the spec yet or will you make your mind up in the spring when the slot does come?

It seems likely they are indeed protecting the price of the car by the slow production.

Good Lord, AM offers 40+ exterior colors (or you can pay extra and get it painted any color you want, by just supplying a color tag); and endless interior leathers (colors/shades/textures)/trim combo's. 'Can't deal with all the choices this far in advance; 'would drive me crazy. In fact, may have to engage my lady for help with this. 'Don't have a very good eye for all the possible subtle combo differences; her ability is remarkable and she knows my taste very well. 'Just have to see.

Dan, did you see the specs of the new V12 Vantage, the same engine as the DBS in the smaller V8 Vantage's body. Seems to be a great car as well..

Where did you see updated info on V12 Vantage?? If engine spec's are same as DBS, then AM will have to upgrade DBS.

Sorry was well in sleepland when you replied.. made another post yesterday about the V12 Vantage.. Aston Martin V12 Vantage, 517hp, 420lb ft torque revealed

+many British web sites like Evo and Drivers Republic have more info on it as well. It is official.
