Yes it appears that Aston are considering four possible candidates to build the Rapide.

The companies from which they are going to decide are Pininfarina (Italy), Karmann Group (Germany), Magna-Steyr (Austria) and Valmet Automotive (Finland ) All the companies have good capabilities to build the car on quite a short notice probably as well, because being contract manufacturers they have the necessary versatility to build different models.

I am really hoping that Valmet gets this because they are now currently building the Boxster and Cayman for Porsche and would be nice to get more work for them and also they make really good quality (not so say that the others dont, they are all good )
