Production closed at Newport Pagnell

The Aston Martin in the picture has a manual transmission.

Aston Martin will retain a presence in Newport Pagnell through its celebrated Works Service Department, which offers servicing, restoration and enhancement of Aston Martins and sees more than 2000 current and historic cars through its doors annually.

Amazing that only just over 13,000 cars were produced during the 53 year life of that factory. Even more amazing is that Aston Martin produced over 7,000 vehicles last year with the help of the new factory. I hope Aston Martin can maintain the craftsmanship and uniqueness of that brand with Newport Pagnell's production closure. At least they will keep it open for restoration work.
