SCHRICK CAMSHAFTS, SOFTWARE AND OTHER TUNING OPTIONS FOR M6

SCHRICK CAMSHAFTS AND OTHER TUNING FOR THE M5/M6
CA is offering a discount on both versions of Schrick cams for the S82 V10 engine.

these come in two stages, as detailed here : http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk/varia...rent_id= 1571

we are offering these to members at £1350gbp including VAT a set of four, for either stage 1 or 2 sets.

U.S. customer price would equate to $2240 usd, but you may well be able to buy for less from a US supplier as the exchange rate is against you on this ...

We will also be producing European - specific software for these cams in next 8 weeks, please be advised that US version software WILL NOT work properly/ to maximum benefit on a UK or Euro spec car, no ifs or buts

The charge for this software will be in the region of £750gbp.

Projected estimate of power gains for the cams and software as a combined package is around + 45 - 55 "real world" bhp at the flywheel. We will post up INDEPENDANT dyno figures when we release this software.

If your M5/M6 has headers, pulleys etc then these cams are the next step it seems to us.

We are the exclusive distributors for Europe for EVOSPORT products, and are currently offering a discounted cost on their awesome pulley sets and headers as follows :

headers : £2790 gbp inc vat
pulleys : £370 gbp inc vat

all plus delivery/ shipping from UK.

thank you

45-55 "real world"hp sounds somewhat optimistic to me. It's reallyy no good if you lose a whole bunch of torque at 4-5000rpm and gain 20hp at 7900.keith TA got nothing like these figures when he fitted the Schrick cams and the actual overall performance feel/improvement was hard to quantify.

I have 292/280 cams, evosport headers, evosport pulley, and software in my car tuned by Kelleners. I managed a 57ps gain.

Russ, as I understand CA's claim, they sare saying 45-55hp with JUST cams and software, hence the doubts. No inclusion of headers and pulley in this particular claim which would probably add around 30hp as an addition to the package.
Did you lose much, if any, torque in the mid range from fitting the cams?

Many thanks for posting on this.

To be clear, we are not yet "claiming" these power figures, as we stated below these are estimates, based on detailed conversations with Schrick andc our software engineer.

Also these figures are at the engine, NOT at the wheels, and using the second stage cam set, not the first, sorry if we were not clear on that.

As we have seen up to + 35 bhp on these engines from just a remap alone, then 45 bhp with cams is not at all unresonable as an estimate.

We hope to be installing this conversion soon to a customer's M6 and will keep you posted and hopefully provide power graphs.

Remember also power modifications are not always cumulative in their gains, that is to say if one product is claimed to give an increase of say + 10 bhp and then a different product at +15 bhp, fitting both together does not necessarily gain you +25 bhp.

thank you

This is a fact. I had the full Kelleners-Sport tune and headers and pulley added to the mix. The headers and pulley from Evosport only added a net 17 ps on top of the Kelleners-tune when compared to a fellow Kelleners M5 tuned car.
