What would you do? Buy 2003 M5 30,000 Miles or keep your 02

Recently my 2002 CPO M5 was rear ended. ..... $5000 damage. I was just about to purchase the car of the lease. Lease ends in June. I have 80,000 miles, so there would be mileage penalty. No Mods

I am now at a crossroad. Should I get a 2003 with 30,000 miles no warranty or keep my 2002 CPO car and live with the fact that it was in an accident AND has 80,000 miles

Two questions:

What would you guys do?

What would you pay for the 2003 M5??? No Mods
Silver, all options, sport seats and wood-yuck but I can swap my metal trim before I turn the 2002 lease in.

Thanks for the help!

I'd go for the '03 if it's indeed clean in record and free from accidents.

If you're good on the color combo, go for the lower mileage car.

b757236,

If the price is in the low $40s it would be a pretty good deal. Go for it.

I would be looking into the '03 if the inspection is clean.

I guess my better half is tired of me talking about it....She just completely ignored me this morning when I tried to talk about it again -I was talking to the wrong audience!!!!

I thought I would get the "board of opinions" to chime in/listen to me whine!

go for the 03 hands down. Just makes more sense. Lower mileage, clean accident record and at a decent price. If you keep the 02 your going to have to deal with the fact that it has been in an accident and the car has been "tainted" now, the higher mileage only means more maintenance costs, you will incur depreciation of value b/c of accident, and finally you will miss out on a good opportunity to catch an 03 at a very reasonable price!
