Redline movie producer owns a 15% stake in Koenigsegg?

"And that fortune is big enough so that Sadek acquired a collection of 22 or 23 (depending on whether you count the wrecks) exotic cars and a 15 percent ownership stake in Swedish exotic maker Koenigsegg. (Sadek promises to soon open America's first Koenigsegg dealership in Newport Beach, California.)"

How did you decide to wreck a Porsche Carrera GT in the film?
The way it went down is, I had two Porsche GTs. And quite honestly, that car's spun out on me a couple of times. It's a very, very scary car... I thought if any of my friends borrow it, my friends or myself, could easily get killed in it, number one. Number two is that a computer graphics shot would never be the same. So out of all my cars, it was my least favorite car.

Man, I wish I was that rich.

but you know what, its the truth. as much as we want to believe the exotics are the most amazing thing on the planet, the fact of the matter is, they arent necessarily something special. take the mclaren slr, the car is junk, cool junk, but junk nonetheless. the phantom is a prime example, a 7-series can have more equiptment. the carerra gt is a dangerous car, hes not lying.

Also, the Porsche 996 GT2 is a dangerous car. The one at the Koenigsegg Event does not feel so good today.

The image is of the film maker, you aren't missing anything MD. But yeah, it has been reported that the Carrera GT punishes you on the smallest mistakes, a real drivers car in my opinion.

I thought the company was owned be C. Von Koenigsegg and B. Eker? 50 percent each.

However, the Norwegian buyer of the black CCX that first went of the road at a race track in Norway, and later was bought back and sold to a Swede who also ran it of the road, was said (by Eker) to have accepted payment from the buy-back of the car in stocks instead if cash. They actually have a dispute about this since the initial buyer wants cash, and claims they never had a deal like this. Not that it has anything to do with the topic. My point is that, since Eker himself claims that stocks was suppose to be used as payment, the two main shareholders seem to be willing to share Koenigsegg with other investors. Maybe it is correct that Sadek has a stake in the company?

Where did you read this? It is not just 50% / 50% split between Christian and Bård. I think there are many more shareholders. It is over 100 different shareholders, from Volvo Personvagnar to smaller Southern companies.

Bård says he owns between 45,6 and 91,2% of Koenigsegg. Koenigsegg family owns around 30%.

I read a newspaper article a while ago that Baard bougth 50 percent of Koenigsegg. My assumption was that Christian was left with the remaining half. It seems however like Koenigsegg have (partially) paid workers and suppliers in shares, so there should be quite some shareholders there today. Interesting read I must say. Hope the most difficult part of developing the company is over. It seems like they are doing ok now. Baard also appears to have faith and the willingness to invest the funds need for further growth.
