Koenigsegg CCX boasts the world's lowest unsprung weight with carbon wheels + brakes

"As with the CCR, the industry's first carbon fiber wheels are optional, and when combined with carbon-ceramic brakes (using eight- and six-piston calipers front and rear, respectively) they allow the CCX to boast the lowest unsprung weight of any supercar built today. Welcome to America, Koenigsegg"

I love those wheels. I was pretty impressed that they don't cost as much as I was thinking. I know that for the Z06 in rather large sizes they only run about 8k per set, when HRE's are actually slightly more in that case.

Someday...

The next big test will be to beat the Zonda and the Carrera GT and the Sport Auto Supertest at Nürburgring Nordschleife. That is the acheivemnt for a supercar and that is what is most important for now. The CCR was one or two second slower than the Porsche Carrera GT I beleive and one second slower than the Zonda F.

However when the test was performed it was only +4 degrees Celsius so grip was quite difficult to acheive.

stop to sixty mph in just 3.2 seconds, and will make a quarter mile seem shorter that a McDonald's drive-thru, running it in just 9.9 seconds at 146 mph. IMPOSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

It's pretty good actually, it should be, it spent a lot of development time there.
Early spy reports claimed it had big problems with getting enough engine cooling, perhaps that is why it has so many radiators. Whatever they sorted the problems - except of course fuel mileage.
