The New 3

It may be me, getting older and picky, but I just don't like the way the recently introduced facelifted 3 series looks (M3 apart). Not too keen on the front or the rear.
Reading an article in TOTAL BMW, Chris Bangle has stated that he will be directing BMW away from current trends, and lead the way in car design, for others to follow. I wonder which way that is...?
Any body else have an opinion on it?

I agree, the new facelift is ugly. On the other hand is the E39 5 series facelift nice.

But according to Mr Janne (on the board) the desgin was nice in real life when he saw it at Alpina.

3-series facelift

First when I saw pictures of the facelift I thought it was ugly. But after that I have seen the car here on the streets in Munich I really like it.

The new front lights, and the new kidney gives the car a more powerful look. Especially with the M-Sport package it starts to look great.

I agree, It looks ok. Looks fresher than the model it replaces. But it looks better with the optional M-tech bodykit and a tasty set of large alloys.

For M-package follow this link:

http://www.bmw.com/e46_3/start.html?nl&nl

The language is dutch, so i don't think you'll be able to read the text.

In case that link doesn't work try this:

http://www.bmw.nl/bis/page-1.html

Then, in the second column (Producten) click on "Vernieuwde 3-serie". After you've done that a new window will open with pictures of a new 3-series with M-package...
