Front and rear sways

I just sold my e46 M3 with coilovers, urethane bushings and sways, I don't want that kind of ride on the M5 but I want to get rid of the body roll.
What are everyones favs?
I will just do sways and the beefed up rear sway link.

Please don't post Dinan, I will NOT spend that kind of money for their average product.....Or Schnitzer

Thanks guys

Hmm. $200 for Dinan... but I guess you've decided to equip your top of the line Genrman engineered Sport Sedan with cheap parts... okay your call. You can always have your local Honda shop just tig weld a piece of steel between your shock towers.

Good luck!

I am willing to spend more than $200 on sway bars, I am just not super impressed with what Dinan had to offer for the M3
There are no others who make sways?
Ground control for example.......

If I could get a Dinan front sway bar for 200 I would, my dinan dealer is asking 499CDN. Anyways, this is indentical in design and shape (except for the CF inserts) and the metal is the same....ie the same bloody part as dinan!

Wrong on both accounts...these are strut braces and not sway bars, big difference. And they are not the same...

Ok, so enlighten me...explain the differences between the two designs and the stress/strain profiles of one vs. the other.

Both parts are totally different. Sway bars are not the same as strut bars. If you compare your link to the one Emmasis posted, you will notice how both products are different. Sway bars are below the vehicle, and strut bars are in the engine and trunk compartments. Both aide in suspension, however, sway bars play a bigger role in eliminating body roll when compared independently. Now, with both setups combined of course it would be better than both individually, but sway bars are more useful than strut bars are. For more details feel free to search as the topic of sway bars and strut bars have been discussed previously many times.

WHOOOOOOOPS....in my defense I am at work now until midnight and I have a tendency to ignore links sometimes. My apologies heykman. I've had the my eyes on the STRUT bars for a while now so my brain was stuck on that.

wow that is the most generic looking strut brace i've ever seen! In The pic of the rear shock tower brace, it doesn't even look like it bolts to the strut towers... Yeah, that looks identical to dinan's.....

Sway bars are torsional springs, to reduce or controll body roll.
Strut braces tie the strut/shock towers together, stiffening the body. Mostly eye candy, unless you're running R compound tires and or tracking the car.

Yah anyways, the design is the same if you can't see that, not my fault.

BUT Sparco makes what you are looking for, you have to call them to get the details; it's not posted on their website. 1-800-224-RACE

Hmm, one inch, that's 25.4mm, too big for the rear, too small for the front. The pic shows a rear bar, on an american car. Hate to break this to you, but parts for a somewhat limited production car like the m5 will cost more than parts for a camaro. That said, a dinan rear bar is 199, the front is 399, at list price. Rear makes more difference. Eibach makes a pair too, same diameters, i believe. Don't know of anyone else. It's a small market, so not a lot of companies are going to put the r&d and development to make sway bars when they may sell 100 sets, if the price is right. Maybe jc whitney makes a universal set of sway bars that could be adapted.

yah, anyways, you've not seen a dinan rear shock tower brace i suppose, since it looks nothing like this:http://www.cosmoracing.com/productin...d=240&pid=1672

Dinan's actually bolts to the shock towers.
