In 1987 US-magazine ROAD&TRACK made a test of the fastest
cars in the world on the Volkswagen test track( the same track
Andy Wallace drove the Mclaren F1 at 391km/h!!!!!!!!!!!!)
and i remember well the article of AMG-HAMMER it was very fast
and a 4DOOR-SALOON i can remember the car had a higher top-
speed than the FERRARI 288-GTO (one of the Greatest FERRARI
ever buildt) i think the the top-speed of the AMG-HAMMER was
186-187 MPH and thats in 1987??!!!. The fastest and the Quickest was RUF-CTR ,,,,, 217-MPH,, All the journalist was amazed over the scary,,brute,,thrilling,,astoneshing,, power
and high topspeed of the car ,better known as YELLOW-BIRD.
I have seen videos w/RUF testdriver (Steffan) driving this car
(on Nürburgring(i think)) and it is awesome to see a car on this hoorible highspeed smoking his reartires in almost every corner
HOLY S**t

I have an Alpina B12 vs AMG Hammer Comparison test (Fast Lane magazine 1989). It is hard to say but it is MUCH faster than the B12.

Of course the fastest Alpina car in 1989 was the B10 biturbo... This one is at least as fast as the AMG Hammer...or not ?
