It will be interesting to see races between the manual and the SMG cars - just to see how much difference there is.

btw, I spoke to the sales guy 1 1/2 weeks ago. They are willing to sell it at sticker price. He said he put it on ebay at 104K to see if there were any idiots who would bite. From what he told me, Oscala is a small market and they cant keep the car that long. Anyone interested should call and make a deal at sticker.

If they offered the 6 speed in Europe I would probably get it since I've had such headaches with SMGIII.

E39 va E60

I had a 2002 E39 M5 and now have the 2007 with the 6 speed. In my opinion, there is no comparison.

The E60 is more fun to drive, has more tech and cool things (especially the HUD which is helpful when you need to see how fast you are going in certain areas). The E60, when driven with the M button off, is a much smoother ride than the E39 ever was. Not that I use this often, but it is nice when my mom or mother-in-law is in the car.

Just my 21 cents.

No DSC button in the manual configuration. If you look at the previous photo closely, you'll see the EDC button in the....ashtray

I hope the E60 is not plagued with the dreaded E39 weak clutch

no power button in the manual. You can access the 500hp through the M button though.
