There is no such scoop as far as I know. The biggest reason likely is the lack of any room in the engine compartment for any turbo or supercharger parts.

Give them time, they WILL make it happen. They have done that with every other model, it just takes a few years.

The E36 and E46 M3's have multiple companies offering forced induction from turbos to superchargers. The E39 M5 has also multiple SS options, Dinan's just came out recently ( see Aug 05 Roundel).

We are going back to 95 and 99 for the M3 and M5 respectively. This covers all the M cars in the recent past. Is that good enough to include every other model?

I am not sure why you ask this question?
So you think that nobody will try to offer a SS for the E60 M5?

I recently saw and F430 that was supercharged. They will modify anything they can, why not?

forced induction is going to be VERY expensive and in my opinion the money needed to do it would be better spent on building a lighter car, say the M3 or even lighter...The M5 engine would need an entire tear down for lower compression pistons to handle the blower or turbo........

BIG BUCKS...a guesstimate ? 25 grand ???? or MORE !!!

Clearly, but that never stops them. The car is not underpowered. This is not a track car, so how would you get all that power to the ground.
I have been in cars that cannot get traction in 3rd gear.

Some people can never get enough horsepower.

Like the F50 above needs more power.

G-Power in Germany said they were working on a supercharger for the E60 V-10 but had not finalised testing or prices two months ago.

IF they will ever do it only on MANUAL cars maybe, SMG would not handle all that power.

Oops. Sorry. I thought the discussion was relating to BMW designed forced induction, not aftermarket forced induction. I was asking the question because I thought you were saying that BMW had designed superchargers for their entire line of cars.
