Dude, don't worry about it. I just got mine back today from this repair (14,300 miles). I had been driving around for over 2,500 miles before I got the chance to take it in. When those error messages come up, click up to the arrow in the upper left and press the idrive knob and the message will go away. It was very annoying to put up with this - you have no S6, no DSC, and you lose the power sterring assist. The one thing I actually liked was the steering with no power assist - it was stiffer, but you had so much more feedback - I wish you could turn it off. Anyway, just take the car in when you get a chance - it's no big deal.
