Engine hunting from cold?

Anyone else get this....

When cold and wanting to move away for the first time it now sort of hunts as i move a way, i don't know if 'hunt' is the right word to use here (jurking, humm that does not sound right either...). It don't think it's the engine but It seems to be the clutch, it gets less and less as the car warms up, & when warm all ok.

any ideas?

note - got worse after last update update, tried doing the paddles technique this morning to teach the new cluch slip position as I have had 2 new rears, but made no difference?

i don't have anything like this, my beast is ready to go as soon as she starts up.

note:my car sleeps in a heated garage so maybe it never gets that cold to notice.

Mine did this as well, but it seems to have gone away since I reset the SMG with the little "2 paddle in" trick.

Very interesting. I'm waiting to do the paddle reset until I put the snow tires/wheels on, as I've done twice this past winter-spring. Hope it works.

However, this problem, which does get worse with cold weather (though my car also lives in a heated garage, I do park it outside at work), has always seemed to me to be one of not getting enough gas to the engine. A couple of reasonable quick hits to throttle usually corrects the sputtering, choking, gasping of the engine.

Did it on mine when it was out overnight and all last winter, you can either start right after firing it up as long as you make only small throttle openings and make sure not to load the engine (i.e. accelerating or going uphill) for about 20-30 seconds then things clear up nicely. If you try to accelerate or open throttle too widely during that period of time the car will buck and do the jerking thing.
By the way my M3 e46 did the same thing as well and same solution always worked. Alternatively let it idle for about 45-60 seconds before setting off is another option. Enjoy!

Not to flame but the 997S fires right up and is ready for business even in cold weather with no hesitation, also much much torquier (relatively) can drive around town in third gear all day, of course no screaming V10 bouhouhou , just the flat-6 Lemans-flat-out-on-the-Mulsanne-sound , can't win them all unless you own them all at the same time, anyone say Audi R8 when V10 comes out?

You know for sure Americans have an energy dependence problem when we are heating our garages to keep our cars warm!
