GUSTAV is in the air to California

Gustav, our website founder and administrator is now in the air from Sweden. He lands in SF tonight for a nine day tour highlighted by the M5 Driving Day at Sears Pt. and the M5 Extavaganza Weekend in Monterey.

We still need $1400 more in Gustav Fund donations to cover our gift to him.

STAY WITH GUSTAV- The suite at the Presidents House is still available, come on someone, step up.

Yes, Gustav will have time to adjust. Bobafett and I will pick him up at the airport tonight and deliver him to his nearby hotel. Dan will post a message later - there will probably be time for a drink before he goes to bed. Arie (1CoolVC), Barry and I will have breakfast with him at the hotel, and then I will take Gustav to Lake Tahoe in the 996TT. This is a 4 hour ride, so he can sleep on the way, and we plan to relax up there, with a few boat rides and beers thrown in for good measure. Home Monday afternoon so Gustav can pick the Boxster S we have rented for him (thanks to the Gustav fund.) By then he should be pretty well adjusted.

Wow, the organisation is very impressive ! Gustav will be treated like a State Chief (Presidential suite, Porsche as a rental car, 996TT rides...). I wish I had founded a web site like this

BTW, going to California isn't that bad, it's the trip home that is a dread.

I have a Searay S-21 with a Mercruiser 5.7 V8, goes 56 knots at sea level in a cold fall day according to my Garmin GPS.

We have the same engine. Our last boat was a 18' SeaRay. Both good boats.
