New owners: You MUST calibrate the tire pressure monitor

This slipped by me on the 1st read through the owner's manual. In case you missed this:

You have to calibrate the tire pressure monitor system. My dealer mistakenly set up my tires at 34 lbs all around. Jeez. Anyway, get them to the pressure they are supposed to be (cold.) With the key in position two, press and hold the tire pressure monitor switch (to the right of the steering wheel on the dash) until the confirmation message appears in the dash display. The system will now warn you when the tires deviate from this pressure (by how much, I don't know - does anyone?)

Thanks for this one Greg.
I would not have known about this.

Remember, after you press the button and see "Set Tire Pressure" you must drive the car for 5-10 minutes. The system learns normal tire revolutions based on your chosen pressures. When there is a drastic change of about 10 psi or more, the "Tire Defect Warning" will illuminate.
