BMW M Germany called me ! Have new info on MY07.. - The Unofficial BMW M5 Messageboard (m5board.com)

Unbelievable,

I left a message at BMW M in Garshing Germany two days ago.....I just hung up with a guy that called me at 10:30pm his time !....I did not ask his exact position but he sounded like a higher up Marketing person....

I did not have much questions but he answered these:

Is individual program coming for M5 in U.S ?

Answer: NO....they will be testing in the Miami market on the 7 series...

Factory closing in August?

yes, one week, the 07 will probably be built first week of September or late August

785 Clear turning lights...should be part of the standard package...he said looks nicer

He spoke perfect English and gave me a number to call so he could organize a tour for me if I go to visit the Garshing facility....he said that people usually go back with their mouth watering based on what they show them during the tour...!!!!

Very nice guy...unbelievable BMW custyomer service !!!

I am impressed !

August vacations in Europe....frankly I am suprised it is not more like 3 weeks...EVERYBODY takes August off in Europe (may be not G. Britain)

Its funny you say about the germans being "warm" people. I delivered a customer his 330i this weekend and he happened to take delivery in Munich. However, his car broke down after 20 minutes of driving it and according to him, the dealers and BMW treated him like garbage. I guess its all in a matter of perspective.

By the way the people picking up the phone did not speak english...but I left a message of a guy 's voice mail...and he called m, back 2 days later....I just can't remember his name just now....

Also, to prevent him having hundreds of voicemails, maybe leave hsi name outside the site and let people connect through the reception of BMW M.
