Firmer steering feel in M-mode?

Sometimes it's hard to turn and sometims it's easy to turn, it's often harder to turn when im in M-mode. Should it be like this or is it me going crazy in the summer heat?

Best regards Kleiv.

If the E60 M5 has inherrited this from the E39 M5, then things are as they should be. In M-mode the steering becomes stiffer to induce a more "sporty" feeling.

All of this should be clearly described in your manual...

I believe the steering tightens up as you increase your EDC
settings.

Correct! When my EDC is in the firmest setting, the steering is noticeably firmer and more direct in its response. Love it!

Agreed. It's pretty cool. I have EDC 2 on all the time. Even though
it can get pretty rough on bad roads, it just feels better. Passengers
probably wouldn't agree but that's their problem. That's the price
you have to pay for riding in the beast. No puking in the car of course.

I usually keep the EDC setting in 'normal', the steering weight changes from 'comfort', and gets firmer with the 'sport' mode EDC. BMW mentions two steering settings... but i feel a difference between EDC comfort, normal, sport, and MDM...
