Location of brake fluid reservoir?

I must be an idiot because I can't seem to find it.

I had planned on bleeding my brakes sometime next week prior to the next track event and throwing in some Motul RBF.... now where did BMW hide that brake fluid reservoir........ ????

If it's like the E39, it is under the driver's side cabin air intake/filter assembly.

Man, the level of detail on this board is entering interesting areas, we have already discussed unfound being without his clothes until 10:37 at least in the morning, wifes being a 9.0 out of 10 as condition to loan lambo's for test drive and lord knows what else. Very european of us.

That's where it is. I had the dealer do the brake fluid change (to Ate), because the service tech said there's a special procedure for the E60 M5 and that it's a more complex procedure than on the E39 M5 (or my E46 M3, for which I do it myself).

well that sucks. I was hoping I could do this myself.... maybe I'll still make the attempt. I wonder what could be so complex about it besides the extra chore of having to remove the filter assembly (which shouldn't be too much trouble)
