New owner checking in...

So, this saturday I'm picking up the '99 M5 I bought. It's fully loaded, carbon black on black, 152K km's on the clocks.
A short intruduction: my daily is an E46 M3, my gf drives a Z3M roadster. The roadster will now be a 'nice wether car only' and she will use the M5 as her daily. The car is in good condition, but what is annoying, is the play in the stick. Normally you feel kind of resistance when you move the stick to the left or right from neutral position. Here the resistance is almost nihil, which makes a money shift more likely. I would like to fix this, but I'm not really sure what is causing it.

Thomas

PS: any other things I should check before picking her up ?

I see it has an aftermarket, exhaust ,shifter & pedals.

It looks good (personally don't like the exhaust). Check for signs of accidents, leaks, clutch issues and maintenance records.

Good luck, and welcome to the club!!

yeah, the previous owner was kinda AC-Schnitzer oriented. I don't like the exhaust either, first ting to change together with the shifter and handbrake.
Still debating on the ACS diffusor...keeping, not keeping, keeping...

If shipping didn't cost so much I'd almost be interested in taking that diffusser and possibly the exhaust off your hands.
