M5 Performance Center Delivery

Just a reminder for those of you that have a new M5 on order. You have the opportunity to come to the BMW Performance Center on two separate occasions. We are not selling anything....once you arrive....you and your guest will have no expense while in South Carolina at the BMW Performance Center.

(1) You can take delivery on your M5 at the BMW Performance Center. What do you get? We pick you up at the airport should you fly in. You stay at the Marriott and have dinner and breakfast the next day on us. We transfer you to the BMW Performance Center the next day where you spend approximately 2 hours driving not your car but one of our M6s with a professional driving instructor. We have lunch in our cafe and then you sit down with a delivery specialist for a couple of hours. The delivery specialist will go over every detail of your new M5 with you. Afterwards, you can visit the BMW Zentrum prior to your trip home.

(2) Again, you stay at the Marriott and the next day you will be brought to the BMW Performance Center for a 1-day M owner's school. This will give you a chance to learn some of the driving tips/techniques you need in everyday driving (i.e. braking, car control on our skid pad, accident avoidance, etc.).

For those of you that have a limited number of days away from your busy schedule, we can work with you to try to schedule both schools together. In short, schedule your delivery on one day and your M owner' school the second day.

Again, there is no additional cost to your M6 for either of these two visits. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to e-mail me!

Best regards,
Donnie Isley
BMW Driving Instructor

Hello Donnie,

I am going to be at the M Driving Experience on May 22 and 23rd. I will be arriving at the Mariott hotel on the night of the 21st. So, I have pretty much all day on the 22 to kill. Just need to make it to the dinner at 6pm.

I took delivery of my M5 already, but was wondering if I could visit the both the Performance Center and the Zentrum during the day to get more BMW experience? If so, can you tell me how to set it up with shuttles? Thank you very much!

Peter

I took delivery of my M5 at the performance center in SC and highly recommend it. Great opportunity for you and a guest to familiarize yourself with the M5 (not your M5) on a closed course (slalom, emergency braking, skid pad) ... and the delivery expert really knew her stuff - I haven't opened the manual once since delivery. The instructor was a nice guy willing to share his racing/driving experience, Mariott is fine and the food at the center was pretty good. In short, a day well spent - only wish you could do it on a Saturday so you don't have to take a day off.

Do you happen to know the dates for the M-experience school that we received with our cars? I called the number for the schools and they didn't want to give the dates available until I sent a form in. When I told her I didn't receive a form, she told me that she would e-mail me but I never got it.

Just as an FYi- anyone doing this should ask to work with Donnie as an instructor if that is possible, because Donnie is not only an excellent instructor, hes also a super nice guy.
