Is This Normal?

I find myself volunteering to go on long drives just for the ride. When I get out of a social function with my girlfriend I run to the car. When parking the beast I sometimes circle the same parking lot 4 times looking for the ideal spot. I have replaced jogging with running the beast in s6/p500/dsc off. When shopping for shoes I make sure they match my car.

Ok I know this is all not normal but you guys all understand right?

Pathetic, absolutely pathetic. And to think that you would accuse anyone on this board of being addicted to their M5's.

By the way, I will be in NY this coming Wednesday and was thinking of hitting an evening BA (Beast Anonymous) meeting. Do you know where they meet?

Is this normal?...the HHHHUUUUUUGGGEEEEE grin on my face when I am driving around town?

Is this normal?...the driver of the little POS Acura track car coming to find me because he was pissed off because I blew his line after I passed him by a length and a half going into the hairpin and late braked? (I wasn't there when he showed up, but my crew was ruthless to the guy - basically, told him - So, you got out raced and now you are looking for the driver - for what, advice?)

Is this normal?...searching the town for the 100+ octane pumps and topping off whenever I see one. (Topping off = 10+ gallons)

This is all a pavlovian response.... it's a conspiracy by BMW... first they set this damn 1200Mi breakin period which causes you want to drive long distances. Then as a reward for those long trips, you get a beast of a car, hence the desire to go on more long trips. BMW's benefit, high miles quickly and the desire to buy another one! Evil Germans! Darn you... Darn you to heck!!!

Oh yeah I forgot a few things.....
As much as I love the beast on the open road, my favorite thing to do is to accelerate....so toll booths, highway exits, rotary traffic, and gas stops, have all become favorite times for me. I turn down the radio and wait for an unsuspecting porsche, vette, or anything else that will at least entertain me for a 6-9 seconds.

Hello My Name is MCar......and I'm an M5'aholic
I drive an e39 Carbon Black.

I confess I have the shoe problem......I bought a pair of Sparco Racing shoes in a blue color that matches the exterior.......guilty as charged......but I really did need new shoes as my old black ones were shot from too many driving schools and sticking my feet through the floor boards trying to stop faster

I need Help!

Regards
MCar
