On the track for the first time

Just got word from my dad that he had the M5 out at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) today. This track is nice for the M5 because you get to use half of the Nascar oval. He said he looked down once in the middle of the back straight and the it said 155, in fourth gear! He said the car is scary fast and amazing on the track.
The second time out on he was on the track with a F430 and guess what the German took it to the Italian. In my opinion my Dad is just a bit better than the driver in F430 but not by much. Of course we know they both were not pushing the very expensive cars to there total limits but none the less it feels good anytime you beat a Ferrari.

with equal drivers, the F430 will beat the M5 every day of the week.

I'm going on the track tomorrow at PIR - I saw your dad this evening at the track...I have no doubt that the car will do 155 on the back straight...

Of course, with 90% concrete walls, we will be taking it a bit easy...

My first test drive in an E39 was at the California Speedway which is the same setup...hairpin road course integrated with the high speed oval (one mile section at turns 4 and 1) and it made me a believer! Can't even imagine what the E60 will do, in the right hands...
