I am after details of these mysterious Alpinas that have come over to the UK.
I would like to purchase a tatty car in need of work, but I understand that this may be nigh on impossible, as only 22 were made!
If any members have any details then all info would be helpful.
(if not I may have to produce a replica based on the available 7's over here)

One of these, nr 16 I think it was, was for sale for a long time in BMWcar. But now it´s probably sold but if you want I can find the ad for you and maybe you can give him a call. But this car was in pretty good condition, I think...

Many thanks, but you're right, it has gone. I was offered one sometime ago, and it was in rough condition, but at the time, I couldn't verify it as, or did not have the facts on 735 Alpina's, so passed it up. (doh)

Hi Andy G,

The Alpina car I most like is the B7S turbo ( 6 series). I have just sold my ´86 M6, it was geting very dificult to get replacements.

I would happily buy a used B7s but lot of them need some work in the engine and also the fact that with this one would be even more dificult to find replaments.( Am I wrong ? Please correct me as I don´t know much about those great old Alpinas).

I think you are right, the older the Alpina, the harder (dependent on what it needs) to get the parts. (and therefore more expensive).

Just one question regarding the early 7 series, I understand from the Alpina site that all these wrer offered only in manual, was there ever an automatic? Did Alpina offer only a std transmission, or could the customer specify an auto?
Any help, would be grateful.

Hi All,

I was never too interested in Alpina's until this site. I like the idea of a B12 is it ? 5.7 8 series. Wow what a beauty.

What sort of money does these cars range in ? What is the latest I can buy ? i.e. L / M reg ???

I like the character of new cars but buy the time you have broguht them, cleaned them up and replaced the dodgy parts, the costs soon add up.

I know that these cars are qucik but cost for cost, I would rather have a 1 - 2 year old M3 etc, new enginerring etc.

But, saying that, B12 5.7, red, black leather, mmmm nice. Anyone know where there is one in the South East ? love to see one, hear it rev.

If you are in the market for some awesome motors then Alpina is the way to go.

She's a beauty though. I look at that and see that as what the devil would used to travel in !

There was at leat one automatic Alpina E23 B10 as I saw it for sale. I can't remember what number it was though, but it was genuine - it was dark blue. I've seen a few for sale, the auto one was relatively cheap (£2,000 or so) and with FSH and in good condition.
Notice from another post you looked at an E28 B2.8 for sale: did you get it?

Hows the C1, I take it it's yours. I have seen an E23 but it has an Auto transmission, and as far as I am aware, all these were available with a manual box only.

The C1 2.3 is really nice. Not hugely fast, but slightly quicker than a standard E21 323i. Very precise tight handling, much better than a standard E21, in fact a totally different feel, much safer. And great with the Scheel seats inside!
The E23 7 you're looking at, is that a B10 Alpina one? The auto one I saw was definitely an E23 B10 Alpina. So at least one auto E23 Alpina B10 of the 22 made.

Yes it is supposed to be a B10, but he's having difficulty in giving me the Chassis nos. etc. so I can confirm it.
Anthony, we spoke (at least e-mailed) last year, you were going to put some feelers out for another £700.00 e21 C1. (I had the oppurtunity of getting 2 Hartge E21's (since fell thru')
