Post Depreciation: £44 000 since 1997.

My car was built in 1997 at a price of £82 000 (every option). I bought it in 2001 for £38 000 with 25 000 miles on the clock in 100% mint condition. That a loss of £44 000. Unbelivable.

that is a lot of money, couple of Ford Fiestas!!
I should imagine that the depreciation would be fairly low from now on though, after all every new car loses approx 30% of it's purchased cost in the first 6 months of ownership, so why theoretically should the Alpina be any different.
At the end of the day, if you are fortunate to be in a position to buy an £82k car then I suppose you won't be worrying about the drop

I did get it from sytner nottingham, as did the previous owner who had it reposesed by BMW finance. Sytner try to by all alpinas that come on to the second hand market (below a certain age), I presume in order to keep the prices high.

I have just seen your pic's, gorgeous, the previous owner must be absolutely gutted to lose such an item.
As you can see, workload is pretty light today, boredom is gradualy setting in now!
(perhaps it's time to move on to another position!!)
