Will there be an Alpina version of X5 ?

Does anyone know if there is going to be an Alpina version of the X5 and if so when & what are the specs? How would it compare to the Mercedes AMG M55??

I guss so, BMW considering introducing what they call HP, high performance of the X5 version. X5 HP will be fitted with the current Alpina B10 V8 engine instead of the M5 engine. It will be approaching comming months. Alpina I belive will make its own accossories like wheels and other stuff.

After a test in Miramas (?) or Miramars (donīt know) in Spain, where the M5 engine died in the X5, BMW decided to go with the 4.6 L 347 HP engine of ALPINA. But ALPINA just deliver the know-how. The engines will be built in Dingolfing with the ALPINA parts. Also the car will be produced there. The name will X5 HP. ALPINA will not intriduce a specific model of the X5 i think.
