01 M5 -> 98 M3 -> 01 M5

Well... for a number of reasons I sold my Carbon Black '01 M5 in July '04 and bought a cherry Techno Violet '98 M3. Well, my automotive ADHD kicked in again, and I noticed how much used M5 prices had fallen in the meantime, and decided I had to get back in a beast

So today I signed the papers on this Royal Red '01 M5 and tomorrow it should be delivered. I have to say that I'm psyched to have the beast fever again!

And it's definitely a disease... I've already bought a UUC Evo3, MK4 Nav, and Britalman Exhaust

Glad to see you are back in the fold Nick. All great cars, the E36 M3 was a true demon. Congratulations on the new purchase.

I see your first M5 had cold air intake. Did it make any differnce in accelaration? Any draw back to the intake. thanks brian

Maybe slightly better throttle response, but no real difference in the feel of power. The biggest aspect was the sound. It wasn't worth the $750 I paid for it, IMO. It did look cool though.

I am going for the sound aspect with an exhaust this time. I'll have to see which I like better, exhaust or intake.
