e21 320 A4 How much interest?

I have a 77 A4 #0060 in original condition complete with all Alpina documnetation. It is Golf with black cloth/Scheel interior. One repaint 4 years ago and no deco kit.
It spent it's life in Berlin and has seam rust and minor shock tower rust.
The engine/driveline are good with 130K kms. The valve seals are old but compression is strong.

The car is very tight and drives well.

My predicament that I would like comments on is whether to sell the car or transplant all Alpina components to my pristine 73 2002 Baur Targa?

What would you do? I will consider selling this car. EPA exempt now but not DOT exempt unitl 2002.

I wouldn't change anything on it at all, an e21 320 A4 must be hard to come by, so putting it all in a Baur shell would be wrong.
How much do you want for it?

sorry for looking thru old posts but

These A4 versions are incredibly rare, where has this one gone, and are there any others left at all?

We were approached by an Australian guy a couple of weeks back, who said he had one to sell, an early 320 4 cyl, he gave us his e-mail address etc, but neither Graig nor myself have had any response!

He's actually from New Zealand, and he was asking me about selling it last year as well. I think he said that he would be at Brooklands for the BMWCC '02 Oktoberfest, but I didn't see him there. He might show up at the Donington Show in October if he is still in the country.

I understand he is an American military stationed in Naples, which is why he refers to EPA and DOT exemptions. There is no way that a European citizen can buy this car...only American military, or once imported to the States, an American citizen. Believe me, I investigated it...

I emailed Chip a few weeks ago, but no response...I imagine he has gone back to the States. Hopefully he didnt end up parting it out...it would have been a waste.

From what I understand he found the car in Berlin and got it for peanuts...
