Interior pics of my new M5 (Silverstone with Indy Red)

This car was offered to me two weeks ago. These pictures were taken to show me the interior. I was unsure about the wood with the indy red interior. The dealer assures me it looks stunning. He went on to say that the Aluminum (which I would've preferred) looks cheap and scratches easily.

Okay, fine. So the car is on a transport headed to my home in Austin, TX. I should get it a week from this Tuesday. Hi-res pictures will follow.

Wow! First time I've seen red combined with darker wood. Very unique!

Congrats!

Interesting. Personally, I think the wood trim looks dreadfull in the E60 interior, particularly the light woods. Just looks cheap and plastic-y. I'd have gone for the Al or Piano Black trim. Piano Black would look great with your color combo. Silverstone with red interior is quite nice.

Change to aluminum interior as soon as you get it! It looks much more sporty.
Itīs not cheap looking IMO! I have no scratches after 8 months / 32.000km.
The red leather looks stunning!! =)

I'm the exact opposite. I think the light woods look great and really brighten up the interior whilst retaining the luxury feel you can't get with alu. I guess we agree to disagree

Man...swap out the wood....the wood only looks good with black - IMHO.

Cheers,

Re: Interior pics of my new M5 (Silverstone with Indy Red)

At first I thought the wood would look bad, but after seeing those photos, I think it looks particularly good. I'll wait to reserve judgement until I get the car. I'm a pretty good photographer (its a hobby) and I have a Nikon D2h with some very nice lenses so I'll get some good natural pictures of the colors without harsh lights. That will make it easier to see the true colors.

I get the car in a little over a week. My brother who lives in NYC just picked up his Saphire black/black yesterday. We bought it from the same car guy. He loves his, but says the ride is a little rough. (He lives in Manhattan which does not have smooth roads.) He did a 1 year lease, so as soon as he got into the car he hit the M button. No break in period for his car.

Mine on the other hand. Loving care until 5500 then all hell breaks loose.

When you hit the M button, it stiffens the suspension. Perhaps your brother should set the M button to leave the suspension soft.
