Night vision will not be available on the M5, just like active cruise control it would block precious air from entering the engine.

Re: Request feauters that you do not have on the M5

I noticed today while looking at a demo car at the dealer that the M does not have the roof cutouts for the standard BMW roof rack. Am I wrong in this observation? And if not, why didn't they include that? It's not unreasonable to want to put a bike or two on top of the car every once in a while.

They attach to the roof under the "lip" that is formed by the top of the door sill.

Ah. Thanks. I didn't see the four "flaps" that are typical of the roof rack.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Re: Feature requests for the E60 M5

Park distance control(PDC) automatically comes on at three MPH or stopping like in the Touareg. Only seems to come on when in Reverse. Pulling into garage and trying to stay to the exteme left or right would be easier if the PDC came on automatically.
