I'm dreaming of a Black/Black Christmas

Just went code 150, priority 1. Need some expert analysis on a delivery date.

Thanks in advance.

Keep dreamin'

No way you see it before x-mas. It will take 2-weeks to build, a week to get on a ship, 3 weeks to get to California, and 1-2 weeks to you at best. That put's it at around mid-January (again, at best).

I hope it gets to you sooner, but just being realistic.

I thought that was the case but wanted to validate. Sounds like the long route to CA accounts for the longer time than the east coast folks require.

Meantime, I will just keep hanging out here and looking at pictures. The irony of it arriving in mid January is that I will be in Munich at that point for biz meetings. Didn't take Euro Delivery due to extra time to get to states but my BMW contact is going to give me a factory tour anyhow.

Hanging around looking at pictures is about all I have done for the past 2 months. I am now just starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Go see one in person if you haven't, and try to sit in one, definitely helps to get you by.

Excellent idea. My wife is starting to think that I am pathetic. Probably right.

Re: I'm dreaming of a Black/Black Christmas

The quid pro quo is that I think my wife's addiction to shopping is pathetic. She can shop for hours and come home with nothing to show for it. I scratch my head trying to figure out how unproductive all of that time was (while silently being thankful for how much money her "unproductiveness" saved me.)

The reality is everyone needs an avocation or two. If one of hers is shopping and one of mine is screwing around with all things M5, I guess we can both be happy. The other reality is, I wouldn't be getting the Beast if I didn't have a very supportive wife. Probably the same for everyone here. I know plenty of guys who would love to be pulling the trigger on a car of this calibre but can never quite get the purchase order approved from the "CFO".

Thanks for the sympathy. Maybe I will just have to check your M5 out next time I'm in Newark.
