E60 M5 Hartge Exhaust US pricing And vendor info

Hartge rep hooked me up with this US vendor and he emailed me this info:

Thanks for the inquiry. As HARTGE’s representative, I’m responding here.
There are actual four possible versions for the E60M5 exhaust:
  • Two different designs (see attached photos)
  • Two different sound levels (the export version is slightly louder than the domestic German (TuV approved) version)
All are $1895 each plus shipping.

Please let us know if you need further info or call if you wish to order with Visa/MC/Discover.

Thanks/regards,

Mark Eckstein

Re: E60 M5 Hartge Exhaust US pricing And vendor info

I am definately interested in installing a Hartge exhaust system. I'm a little unsure on which one to go with as far as the sound levels. Are they of equal performance? Is the exhaust note the only difference? Does anyone have any sound clips of the difference between stock OEM and the two Hartge exhausts?

Re: E60 M5 Hartge Exhaust US pricing And vendor info

Are you sure they mailed you the right images? I mean those oval tips don't really look oval to me.

So let me get this stright, you have 4 options.
1. Round tips, with resonator showing (TUV approved)
2. Round tips, no resonator (not approved)
3. Oval tips, with resonator showing (TUV approved)
4. Oval tips, no resonator (not approved)

I think the legal choices here in the EU are limited to the TUV approved ones and those are the ones I don't like

No resonator means WITH Powerpipe. Correct?
