Post Porsche Carrera GT 2

I just saw a video on the news of the upcoming Porsche Carrera GT 2. AWESOME! It was an open top roadster with an amazing looking rear end. (Very LeMans like!) It is the rumored car that will have a mid mounted 5.4L V8 that will put out about 700HP through the rear wheels only. I think it comes out in a year or two. Price $250,000. Start saving now!

Im going to look for some pics of it on the Porsche website.

CORRECTION:

Power comes from a mid mounted 5.5L V-10 that makes 558hp.

Ryan:
I think the correct name of the car you are talking about is the Carrera GT and not the Carrera GT2 which is a different car. The 911 Carrera GT2 is a new variation that is to be produced later on this year. It is similar to the 911TT, but is lighter, rear-wheel drive and has 450 bhp.

Maverick:

You are correct. Ryan is referring to the Carrera GT. The pricing is said to be $300k to $350k. Porsche said they would need to produce 800 per year for a 3 year period in order to break even.

On the 911TT GT2, I heard the figure was mor like 462hp or 459hp. Maybe the rating is DIN instead of SAE.

It also comes with a pop up digital video camera to record laps etc. Porsche say they are going to keep the new car as close as possible to the concept car that they are showing.
