Post Totally Unrelated Topic: Subaru WRX coming to America

I don't know how to express my excitment when I heard the news! I checked out the Sport Compact Car magazine and they rumoured that Subaru is finally bringing in their turbocharged 2 liter boxer 4 Subaru Impreza WRXs into America. Being skeptical, I called up Subaru NA. They confirmed the rumour saying that the car will be coming in as a 2002 model mod to late 2001. No more wimpy 1.8 liter and 2.5 liter engines!

For all you FIA World Rally Championship fans, cheers! This car will definately be an autocross killer.

Did they say which version and did they give you any indication if it would be a "watered" down version or the same one sold in the UK.

Does this mean we might see the Mitsubishi coming to the US. Wow!!!

The new WRX is 227HP, somewhat down from the 280+HP of the STis and etc sold elsewhere.
