          hard to get gears

I had a spec 2 plus 2 clutch with lite weight dual mass. Break in was ok (on second flywheel first was not balanced from spec) My problem is when i try to shift fast all it does is grind or real tough to get in gear. If i shift reg speed everything ok. I have has jb racing alun flywhel with clutchmasters clutch(huge rollover noice) but shifted great, and a factory new flywheel with factory clutch and never had this problem. Anyone got any solution? I refuse to phone spec customer service is way to annoying. If this does not get resolved going uuc stage 2 flywheel/clutch which is a shame because spec flywheel revs faster and no noise. Another $1500 aft money wasted.

          Re: hard to get gears

At a stop, when your clutch foot is to the floor and you put the car in gear, does it go into gear easily without any hint of forward motion?

If no, then your clutch isn't disengaging all the way and that is bad. It will cause premature clutch falure and it will wear out your synchros.

If Yes, your clutch is not the problem. It is fully disengaging the engine from the transmission which is its job. Your problem is either technique or bad synchros.

What about tranny mounts? I find that under hard acceleration, it is more difficult to hit gears. You really need to concentrate- if I just shift as I normally do (nice and easy) I can miss. My guess is the motor/tranny is torquing and a stiffer mount would minimise this....
