I thought the factory was closed for most of August. If not, I need to call and see where my order is.

I am production week 36 and we are ahead of schedule,,,now that does not mean it will get here early, just that it is being built early. Who knows with our BS Customs delays due to what is going on with the USA. I will be happy if I have my car OCT 1st. OR SOONER!

I remember waaaaaaay back in 1999 when the old board was in use, there was a guy, Max from Philly, who received the first MY2000 E39 M5 in the USA. His car was built in early Sept. and I beleive he was driving it by Oct. 1. What ever happened to Philly Max??

Mine is slated for production next week. Let us know the projected delivery once your car is out of production. Hopefully, that will give the rest of us a benchmark for when to expect ours.

          Thanks.

Floyd[/QUOTE]I know what you mean. I kind of miss the gold ole' days when the car just showed up, and we didn't get real-time updates for when the car moved from the assembly line to the paint shop.... It really only adds to the anxiety!! BMW has no captive audience here.

Absolutely keep us posted! I'm week 37, so I'll assume I get my car a week or so after you get yours.

Re: My M5 is Status 150 for USA..WOO HOO

Actualy I was told by my dealer that the Southern US orders go into Charleston Harbor in SC and then gets rail/trucked to the BMW plant there where it gets checked out, then gets trucked to Florida. Anyone else know about this prosess? My sales guys has been the best sales guy I have ever seen in 36 years of my life. This guy answers his cell while on a test drive with someone else and answers, "HI FLOYD". When sales guys program your name in the cell, he is serious about his job. I was the first to post the status 150 only because he let me know first thing in the morning.

I remeber when you just go down to the dealer and buy the car when you want. Longest I have waited for a car I want,,,,1 night. Can someone post the STATUS CODES again please..
