Opinions needed: Silver Grey on Indianapolis Red

I think this would be a rather nice combination. Seeing how the Indy Red is a little less "in your face" than the previous generation's Imola Red, I thought that this would be just enough to make the car stand out. Additionally, the dashboard and headliner remain black, which reduces the loud factor a little bit. What does everyone think? Flipping through the DuPont Registry, I noticed that many cars being sold have this grey/black combo.

Have to decide very soon...

Go black or silverstone. Red is too much for the M5 IMHO 'Rocket. Then again, you could use a good change from your last three rides. So maybe it is not such a bad choice? I am just as confused as you, lol.

I think its very classy....thats the combination Jeremy Clarkson had in his test video....I would have had it but the red is an expensive option over here

Re: Opinions needed: Silver Grey on Indianapolis Red

I'm also thinking about the Indy Red. From the photos I've seen it is a darker, more subdued red than I expected.

I'm planning on the black sapphire, and the black interior is too much for our summers here, the silverstone looks like it would take our being way more careful than I would like for my daily driver, and the tan is just not very interesting like a cinnamon or caramel would be.

Would really help if I could see a swatch in person.

I've had black interiors in my last half dozen cars, but the indy red has also caught my eye, although I'd like to see it in person before ordering.

Re: Opinions needed: Silver Grey on Indianapolis Red

DO IT..silver grey on red looks amazing...trust me black interior is kind of dull..if it was a 550 then I would say get black.. but its a semi exotic.

Plus we can kind of match around boston .

Go 4 it! I would definately have gone for that combo, only this fool's... I mean full leather thing kept me away cause costing little bit more than 2 000 euro's extra : )

On M6 discussion there are great photos of grey with red interior!

Re: Opinions needed: Silver Grey on Indianapolis Red

Rocket;

Should be a solid choice. I was at the dealer 2 weeks ago and we took the actual painted swatches against the hood of a 545, and 645 w/red interior. Silver gray looked great both on the car, and against red.
I'm pretty much settled on silverstone II w/Indi. Looks like indi is going to be a popular interior!

All the best;
