Post Oh Oh, where do I get radio code..battery disconnect

My water pump has (true to the predictions of many E34 owners) suddenly pooped on me. Started to rumble faintly 2 weeks ago, (, what's that noise?) slowly grew to "YES, that's a water pump noise!" making the hospital appointment (and by the way how about those cam gears now too?), and quickly went to "FIX ME NOW OR ELSE!".

So I looked at it tonight and the fan is so loose I can wobble it an inch or so and the ends of the fan blades are getting chipped from hitting something in there.

Looks like I'll try this fix myself. but the first step says 'make sure you have the radio codes before you disconnect the battery'. No manual for the radio...bought the car used. Now what? Anybody do this before?
Thanks,
Bill Klemme

You can go to your local BMW with the serial number from the radio and they can look up the code.
