Wheel Spacers

Anyone using wheel spacers on their M5's?
I had to use 5mm spacers on my new track wheels in the front.Fortunately I had these spacers in the garage...they were made from a warped set of rotors a while back...I had the faces of the rotor hats cut off..they make perfect 5mm spacers. The wheels have a 19mm offset...I was told they would work fine but they just touch the struts.I have longer wheel bolts on order.Any potential problems using the spacers?

I've been using Dinan spacers on the front of my E28 to allow 245x16 for nearly 10 years, no problems.
