Post 160 mph on Bayside bridge Clearwater,Fl.

On Sunday morning at 7.30 am,hardly any traffic, driving my M5 and my son in his '95 E36 M3 behind me,on the way to an autocross in Tampa, crossing the Bayside bridge..MJ knows it well,I decided to see how the car felt at speed....got her up to 160 mph and backed off even though there was some left. The car was amazingly stable....felt like 70 mph.The M3 couldn't get beyond 155 even with the Autothority chip.My question is-does the JC chip have a top speed limiter?

The E36 will run out of gearing at about 155mph or so. Need 6 speed or taller final drive to get anymore speed. I had a Dinan SC M3 and that is about where it ran out. There was plenty of motor left, but it is gearing limited.
