Getting wheels refinished, need opinions

Need to decide on going with Chrome Shadow again, or just having them fully chromed, and cost is the same. The Beast is Anthracite in color. Anyone have a pic of Anthracite with Chrome wheels? I was pretty happy with the Chrome Shadow, but am a bit uncertain how it will look as a re-do, and something new may be in the cards if I can get excited about it. Opinions, comments and suggestions welcome. Need to decide in the next day or two.

Anyone have any experience with Wheel Technologies in TX?

Also considering flat black as a remote possibility...

Re: Getting wheels refinished, need opinions

Before getting aftermarket wheels, i was gonna get my wheels powdercoated in black chrome. I had contacted a guy up in NY and he was gonna do them for 130 each including fixing all the curb rash. The name of the place is ACME Powdercoating and the number is 631-244-0333. He sent me some samples and i think they would look great on your color car. Besides that, powdercoating is extremely tough and wont scratch or chip easily.

That would be awesome if you could find those pictures and post them on here! I'd love to see what black chrome powdercoating looks like.

Re: Getting wheels refinished, need opinions

I'd like to see a pic of that too, sounds really nice. I'd love to get my wheels refinished a little darker than the shadow chrome, but not straight black.

Any pics of polished wheels? I imagine clear-coating them afterwards is the thing to do?

thanks,

Looks just like chrome maybe a touch less shinny and much better tougher finish.

All wheels are clear coated today.

Re: Getting wheels refinished, need opinions

I couldnt find the wheels but here is what the mailbox looks like. What you cant see is that it is really reflective. It looks like chrome but with black in the backround.
