Post Reason Why Mirrors Fold Up

Pictures came in from our EuroDilvery trip... the wife was making fun of the "gimmick" rearview mirrors until we hit this street in Salzburg.

Great shot!

I thought they were a gimmick too, until I discovered that folding them up increased the space between our cars in the garage by almost 50%.

Now if we could only get mine to go up on the passenger side with regularity. A minor annoyance.

Gee, Jim - Mine go up on command every time. The right one just doesn't always come down. Maybe we can introduce our cars, they can "get together" and have a bevy of little M3's - with perfect side view mirrors!

Jim, try parking it next to a pink Volkswagen cabriolet to see if it helps. Greg, maybe yours needs to be parked next to a Hummer?

Hutzal -
No, I actually went through there. What I 've posted is the "after" picture, I'll post the before picture later this afternoon.
Aces-
Now that I have pics, I'm working on a post detailing the complete trip.

actually, as european, i can tell you that if you park downtown any older city, you better fold your mirrors or you will find the one facing the street hanging on its wires. the folding mirrors is a very useful feature...
